HDMI audio issue with nvidia card

Hello all I'm new to batocera and have been searching and searching with no luck. I have a Intel 64bit cpu as well as a gtx560 graphics card. I'm getting no sound in batocera and have sound when choosing hdmi1 in Kodi. I've noticed that the volume slider in the batocera menu is always at 0% and if I turn it up and exit the menu its going back immediately. Any suggestions? I'm on the newest version and took the # sign off at the Nvidia driver's area. Thanks

When you have sound when choosing hdmi1 in Kodi, then you just have to set the same hdmi in Batocera ES Settings, Audio Output Device ;)

joinski thanks for your input. Unfortunately the hdmi#1 which works with Kodi is missing from batocera. I only have hdmi#0 in batocera. Also the system volume is always at 0% regardless if I change it. I have pictures of all the screens but can't see a way to attach them. Thank you

Could you list all audio output devices, that Kodi shows and also all available output devices, which are listed in Batocera Sound Settings?
You can upload your pictures on a website like abload.de for example (or any other imagehosting website)

Here some photos of one of my systems with Nvidia GTX 750:

As you can see, there are a lot of different Audio Output Devices i can choose from.
It is a bit hard to see on the second photo, but the correct Audio Output Device of my GTX 750 is the light-blue highlighted one on the second photo ("HDA NVidia, SAM SyncMaster on HDMI #2").
In Batocera i then had to choose "HDMI2 NVIDIA [HDA NVIDIA]" to get sound via HDMI.

Okay, that is strange, that you only have one HDMI output device in Batocera (but four in kodi).
Your GTX 560 seems not to be supported by the nvidia drivers which are in the standard version of batocera.

You could test with the nvidia-legacy version, if it then works.

joinski thanks for the reply again. I believe I tried that legacy version already also. I'll give it a try now anyway

forgive me for being totally daft in this regard but is there a way to create those legacy files into a iso? reading the instructions for install make no sense to me. thanks again

You just have to download the legacy-version from here and flash it with etcher to your USB flash drive:

Unfortunately I installed the legacy version and it's still the same. Any other ideas?
