Batocera.linux 5.25 don’t save settings

Hi there, I’m just starting to use Batocera and I install it with etcher on a usb drive 2To. Everything works correctly but when I change a setting like « language » or « audio output » there is no saving each time I restart. Every settings back to default. I don’t understand why.
I search on this forum and found that it can happen if I don’t let the first boot until the end but I let the first boot finish each time.
someone can help ? Or explain me if I do something wrong ?

I had the same problem with my 2tb internal drive. No settings would save. I never got any reply in the forums.
What I ended up doing was flashing version 5.24 and then updating to 5.25 within Batocera and the settings saved.

I also found this format tool helpful to format large drives as FAT32 before flashing the Batocera image.
