cant download onto harddrive

when i do the usual steps, go into menu, select harddrive, select format(i have tried both 86 and 86-64), clicked im sure, it just tells me error check directory? i dont know what to do and i have been searching online for a good while now. please help thank you.

If you're looking to install Batocera as a stand alone system to a PC hard drive, here is a way that can help.
on another PC download the current stable build of Ubuntu from here: https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop
Then watch this guys video. It's how I did and worked flawless.
