es_systems.cfg gets overwritten on reboot

Hi,

Everytime i reboot or scan for new roms directly from Emulationstation my "es_systems.cfg" gets overwritten.

the location of the "es_systems.cfg" i edit is /user/share/emulationstation

I can see from some older posts that another config should be located her /recalbox/share/system/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg , but i don't have a .emulationstation folder in that directory ?

I'm running the newest 5.25 image and using Winscp with hidden files enabled.

Can some one point me to the file that keeps overwriting my changes :)

It seems to work fine, if i place a copy of the "es_system.cfg" file here : /userdata/system/configs/emulationstation

So i might have solved my own problem here :)

Yes, /userdata/system/configs/emulationstation/ is where it needs to go, as written at the bottom of https://wiki.batocera.org/doku.php?id=modify_the_system_while_it_s_running
