Well that's exactly what I was hoping. I'm not sure what happened there then. The you need an extra 1.5gb warning.? On an empty 2tb drive lol. I'll power it all back up after dinner and check it again.

So are all the system config files transferred as well.?

Better backup all system config files

I think it does as all system setting go back to standard. And you have to set it all up again. Isn't that a bit silly when they should be kept on the boot drive.?

we should be clear what exactly is meant by "System Config Files" and "System Settings".
the "Storage Device" contains (or should contain) everything that it located/saved in the /share/ folder.

So if we want to make a backup of the system files. What drive are we copying them from?

What do you mean with system files?

I mean if we want to just copy the actual system setup as a backup. Minus all the roms. So if something goes wrong you can just copy it back. If you use the system backup in the menu it tries to copy everything on the drive.

PS can confirm share is now pointing to the external drive.
And sorted the backup from another thread.
