Pi3 / Pi3b+ minor freezes

Hello, I have a pi3 and a brand new pi3b+ that seems to freeze randomly while moving around ES screens prior to launching games. It will unfreeze after a few seconds and then repeats. The same issue occurs on the older pi3 unit too. I have it running on a 128GB Sandisk Ultra SD card. I can't seem to track down the issue. Could it be a faulty USB controller? Any suggestions?

Do you have another SD Card, that you could test?
Just to be sure, that the cause is not your 128GB Sandisk Ultra

joinski Tested another sd card out today and wouldn’t you know it worked without any pauses. I guess my 128GB SD card is getting replaced. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m not sure I would have come to that conclusion.
