Hello! I am fairly new to the world of emulation and linux in general. First off, such an awesome little platform Batocera is to relive my childhood memories of retro gaming. I have been playing few roms after fiddling around and getting things to work. I read that Dreamcast is one of the systems that taxes older machines and might lag. I wanted to post my system settings and wanted to know if there were ways of speeding things up using some hacks to get the games to work faster.
System info:
Version: 5.25 2020/03/09
Disk Usage: 3GB/285GB
Architecture: x86_64
System: Linux 5.4.16
OpenGL: 3.3 (CoreProfile) Mesa 19.2.7
CPU Model: Intel Atom CPU D510 @ 1.66 Ghz
CPU Number: 4
For reference, the system this is on is asus eeebox pc eb1012p

The rom I loaded was GTA 2. The dreamcast logo animates at regular good speed but then the Rockstar logo rolls in at like idk 10 fps or something. Very choppy. I can play the game per say, went in the menu and started playing, just at a very slow speed. The advanced settings inside per system configuration for Dreamcast is set to all Auto.
If unfortunately it turns out there are no ways of throttling the performance of such 3D games, could I get a short list of all platforms like Dreamcast that would lag on this machine? (I didn't even know there are so many platforms out there, I am guessing things like PS2 platform won't work but what other will similarly lag on this so it saves me the time to not download roms for those platforms and stick to 2D side scrollers only which work great!)
Waiting for your responses,
thanks again for being such an awesome community!
