Have overclock settings been removed on Pi3 ??

I noticed in the menu there is only the default 1200mHz for Pi3, and the wiki is empty:

Do we have to manually change config values ourselves for overclocking?

If so, can someone link me to an article or tutorial on how to do so?

Or better yet, is there a way to add our own PRESET values into the overclock menu dropdown in Batocera??

Just use WinCSP and allow permission to write on boot folder:
open terminal and put the command:

mount -o remount,rw /boot

go to your config.txt file

and add:

arm_freq=1400
over_voltage=4
gpu_freq=450

kernel=zImage
arm_freq=1400
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=575
force_turbo=0
over_voltage=4
over_voltage_sdram_p=6
over_voltage_sdram_i=4
over_voltage_sdram_c=4
gpu_freq=500
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020

I advise to use the first, more reliable/stable

Hi, Im not a programer, how do I do that stuff?

First of all, I dont know if have to instal the comander or explorer version of winSCP, then I could not found the option "allow permission to write on boot folder"

Also I dont know how to fill the gaps to conect the program to the pi3

use putty to connect and run command on the rpi
use winscp to exchange files with the rpi
i'm surprise that all games don't run perfect with snes on rpi3.
eventually create a new thead on this forum for this subject.
you should remove the option rewind in game which slow performances on emulators

I believe these settings can be extremely useful in Raspberry pi3 if you enable the overclocking option directly in the ES menu ...

I would suggest, if possible, that a test of these values be done by admin and that, if it works well, in the next version there is the possibility directly through the ES menu in the option "Overcloking", that the option for 1350Mhz is enabled according to the Specifications suggested above:

Arm_freq = 1350
Gpu_freq = 500
Sdram_freq = 500
Over_voltage = 6
V3d_freq = 525

This could be useful since it would be easily accessible to lay users (directly from the ES menu) and would allow a "safe overcloking" already previously tested and parameterized by the creator of the Linux batocera.

In any case, it would be advisable also, when activating this option by the ES Menu, that the user be warned of the need to have a good cooling of the system with a heatsink and also a cooler!

Would it be possible to implement this function in an upcoming version directly from the ES menu?

not all raspberry pi 3 running with 1.4 ghz stable and the overclock settings on the top, missing important commands for n64 optimzing (v3d_freq) as well. in my experience, psx games with "enhanced graphics" running best with 1.35 ghz. so i would recommend:

arm_freq=1350
gpu_freq=500
sdram_freq=500
over_voltage=6
v3d_freq=525

this makes psx games (with enhanced graphics) running smooth and many n64 games running much better as well. heatsink highly recommend!

why the hell he should mount the partition via ssh and make so much trouble, when he can simple modify the config.txt on the pc? just plugin the sd card into your pc and modify the config.txt with your favorit text editor. simple as that.

as well - as i have explained before - the OC settings which has Pho3nX posted are dogshit. sometimes i am thinking, many just copy pasting stuff without having an idea what they are actually doing.

The Pho3nx's instructions dont especify where is the config.txt file, I've found the recalbox.conf

Then I connected with notepad++ with plugin NppFTP, found the recalbox.conf and add the overclock lines at the beginning.

I'm not shure if it worked, I opened Kodi at settings, system, hardware: shows 1200mhz

Pho3nX with your answer you have just confirmed my assumption. you have no idea what you are doing and just copy posting random stuff from the internet.

mounting, changing permission etc. for simple editing an text file? just plugin in the sd card into your pc and edit the text file. no need for that hassle at all.
recommending 1.4 ghz when many pi3 can't handle it stable?
recommending OC settings and missing important commands for n64 optimzing? just an quick reminder; this is an gaming related OS.

So i don't just copy/past, i have test this settings like you. You have invented your settings maybe? Come on you are take some settings from databases and adapt with your expereiences like me.

And for your informations in Windows (not Linux) your must ALWAYS use a true text editor like Notepad++ and never standard Wordpad/Notepad stock because you can make a corrupted file with them.

Your parameters are stable, mine also and in my first post i wrote well "I advise to use the first, more reliable/stable"
