Optiplex I5-6500 For Batocera, What graphics card?

Just got hold of a Optiplex I5-6500 For Batocera, What graphics card would be good, an nvidia or radeon?. i was thinking a Nvidia 1030? What would be the most compatible.

And also what would be the highest i could go or would be the sweet spot.

I know i will need a low profile.

Would this be any good as a starter or would i just be wasting money?

Honestly, for an Optiplex Tower with a i5-6500, a good pairing would be one with no external power required, like a GTX 1650 or a RX 550, but the RX 6400 and the GTX 1650 Low Profile versions would be the best bet for the SFF versions of the Dell Optiplex PCs. I notice that Nvidia cards have trouble with image syncronaization with Batocera, so I’d avoid those, and stick to AMD cards, which work infinitely better under Linux anyway.
