problem starting emulators dreamcast naomi atomiswave etc.

Hi I am a new member and I take this opportunity to greet all the users of the forum ..
I have been trying Batocera for a few days and I must say that it is a really good program but unfortunately I have a problem.

I have a notebook model hp dv6-3150el with dual video card, one integrated (intel® HD Graphics) and one dedicated (AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5650), Intel® Core ™ i5-460M 2.53 GHz fourth generation, RAM 4 GB DDR3-SDRAM.

I can use most of the emulators but when I try to use emulators like dreamcast, Naomi, atomiswave, gamecube, ps2, I can't start them.

Let me explain: when I start the game, the screen turns black for a few seconds and then returns to the main screen.

I inserted all the BIOS and some roms of the emulators mentioned above.

At this point, I ask you if it is a video card problem and if it is possible to solve it.

I hope I made the idea of my problem and I hope someone can help me if possible.

Can you have a look, which GPU is used, when you are in Batocera?
You can see it under System Information (either in Emulation Station Menu, under System Settings, System Information, or in Kodi under Settings, System Info, Video).

i guess that is your issue.... only OpenGL 2.1.
could be too old/weak and not compatible for dreamcast emulation.

you can look into your bios, if you can enable or disable the dedicated AMD Mobility Radeon and then test, if there is a difference.

eventually you would be able to recommend a perfect notebook for batocera with the right hardware features it must have? perfect for all emulators?

unfortunately in bios there is no possibility to choose the type of graphics card (dedicated or integrated) in fact in linux only the integrated card starts and I wanted to understand if there is an alternative solution to enable the dedicated one

for all emulators? even dolphin (gamecube/wii), psp, 3ds and ps2?
the most demanding is ps2, where you would need a gpu with at least 2.500 G3D Mark, to be able to run all games (even the harder ones to emulate like God of War) at fullspeed 60fps.
so i would then recommend something with a more modern nvidia Mobile GeForce GTX graphics card (like NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Mobile) for example)
but those (gamer-)Notebooks are a bit expensive, heavy, loud (because of the fan) and do not have long battery life.

for psx, dreamcast, psp, 3ds and gamecube a modern Intel iGPU (like Intel HD Graphics 530 or better 630) should be fine, as long as you do not want to upscale the internal resolution.
those Notebooks (with Intel HD Graphics) are cheaper and lighter with more battery life.
