Startup getting slower and slower.

How long should it take B to start, when i first installed it was like 10 to 15 seconds.

Now i am adding images to all my roms its getting slower and slower, now when i power on i can hear it reading the hardrive non stop for about 45 seconds before boot, never used to do this.

What is it actually reading?

Jay The more there is on it the longer it will take to boot. Mechanical drive will also be longer to boot...I have close to 3TB of games / images / videos / manuals it does not take as long as 45 sec but it is slow to start.

So why does it need to read everything on there on boot, surely it just boots the OS, and the reads what it needs when you want it.?

Im only at 70 GB if i got to 3tb it would take a month lol.

And PS Where did you find 3tb of stuff ;)
