MAME: Rom Names and Extras?

Will the mame Extras work in Batocera?, and is there a way to display the rom names instead of the weird names they are given?

Jay What do you mean by extras ? Artwork ? ETC? What are you looking to use it for?

How do your roms display? You can change the names to whatever you want...

Well I have the name roms pack installed. But they all have weird names instead of the rom name. Really hard to tell what your looking at.

Plus I have an extras pack. No idea if I should use it.

Jay If you have roms just scrape them via internal or for example ARRM. That should update the names on gameslist. What do you have in extras pack? Art work?

Well no, all the names are coming up weird, so you cant really tell what your looking at, and it also seems full of garbage, files and folders about other computers and handhelds and bios stuff, its a total mess, i dont understand it its supposed to be a rom set, whats all the garbage in it?

Jay Only copy roms and not the garbage ;-)

Jay get a cleaner set ;-) if its a mess and you dont know it will probably take you longer to sort than to download a clean one.

Yeah there is 13000 files in there lol, cant sort all that crap.

All i can find is ones full of crap lol.

Jay its simpler to look at pages like https://archive.org. you can download files 1by1 or all. If all is not possible brawsers like firefox have addons that would 'grab' all files.

Don't unzip the mame roms !

Lol, i have not unzipped the roms, its a full 0220 set, over 60gb, but half of it looks like total crap.
