Force 1080p on pi-4 running 5.26-dev

How do I force 1080p? I’m running 5.26-dev on a Pi-4 2gb model on my 4k tv, but I’m getting slowdown, slight random screen tearing and white vertical bars on certain screens. On my 1080p monitor, it runs normally. I tried asking on Discord, but I got no help whatsoever. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please check hhttps://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt/video.md out.
Change your config.txt so that hdmi_group=16

The best config for 1080p is:
hdmi_group=2
hdmi_mode=82

hello, I allow myself to come into the discussion, i’ve same problem but my video projector forces 4k despite the modification of config.txt, (in ssh or with notepad ++ same result) would you have an idea for me, thank you

I imagine that it’s a problem of adjustment of your video projector …

Thank you, but no choice possible for the video projector, however no problem in Kodi when I change the resolution in the settings the video projector does what we ask, thank you anyway, the psp does not slow down, even in 4k then it will be psp at the moment

Severe input lag and slow interface (30hz?) on one of my pi4 4Go and 4k TV. I tried on my 2nd pi4 in an Argon One case and it’s smooth as butter. I don’t understand what’s going on… How do you access to the console ? I’m used to retropie and I’m a bit confused here…
