Games not loading

Hello.
After 5 years on Recalbox, I want to try Batocera.
I have a Pi3B, a Nespicase 1 with 32Gb MicroSD inside for the system, a NorthPada 5V 3A power supply and an external USB Maxtor 2To. I kept on it the folders roms and saves. I added the Batocera bios. I installed Batocera 2.25 using Balena etcher. I first ran Batocera and chose external devices then rebooted. It is far faster than Recalbox (3 minutes to get in with Recalbox and less then 30 sec here !).
But the problem is that I can’t run any game. When selecting a game, it loads then directly back to gamelist screen, for all systems.
The only “bug” I see is a “freezing” or a loading time of around 10 sec the first time I go to gamelist (the sound cut, and then it freezes and it works normally after 10 sec).
I didn’t change anything into the options.
Could someone help me please ?
I’m not a noob on Recalbox so I know ES and I wonder why I have this problem, even with the Bios pack installed….

you can see, if the error message in the log-file gives you a hint:

do the games work, if you choose internal storage?
also check, if the rom-folder structure on your external hard drive is correct (there may be differences between the rom-folder structure of recalbox compared to batocera).

and by the way…. there is no Batocera 2.25. The current stable version is 5.25 😉

Yes 5.25 sorry, mispelling fault.
Finally I made it work, I tried a new reflash and it succeeded.
I think the problem was that my main folder on the HDD was named “recalbox”, then I saw it was renamed batocera (I assume by Batocera system metadata). There was obviously a corruption somewhere. After reflashing again, the system directly recognized the batocera folder and no corruption anymore I assume.
Anyway, this is a very good work, congrats to the team. I think I’ll go further with Batocera for my TV Pi and Recalbox for my LCL Pi (too difficult to get a working version with its special screen drivers).
Well I’m going to test some themes now and discover all the options :-)
