Hide boot screen

Hi guys.
I need to know if there is a way to modify or hide this screen :

I need to remove that screen in order to avoid out of synchronism.

Did you see that at the end of https://wiki.batocera.org/doku.php?id=display_issues

Batocera should be in full screen with the right resolution.
/!\ BUT /!\ if you reboot the Batocera system, you’ll have to do this again, the resolution is forced just for this boot, next boot, resolution will be reset to the highest available again.
We need to force it for every boot.
As you can see at the beginning of this tutorial, we copied the xinitrc file to a temporary folder.
We need to erase the current xinitrc file with our modified version. It is the same as the first code block, but reversed:****

cp ~/.xinitrc /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc

batocera-save-overlay

Now, reboot your Batocera system, the display resolution should be good.
Also, xrandr can do screen rotation: very useful for old vertical screen arcade machines !
Hope this was easy for all.

Of course not.
I did like tutorial says.
In order to make your modify permanent , you must insert this command :
‘ batocera-save-overlay ’

Hello Roberto,

For me your double image isn’t a problem because this image is stable and isn’t dangerous for your monitor. I think
there is a protection somewhere in the hardware of you monitor make this image double like my encoders JPAC

it say : “If required, can divide a 31Khz VGA signal in half so that it will display a stable picture on a 15Khz arcade monitor. Useful for checking boot-up progress and configuration (not for application use). Automatically stops dividing the signal when it detects a correct 15Khz rate is being send by the PC”

One question did you test some roms under dreamcast (like Quake II arena) or N64 ( like goldeneye 007) ? it is slow or good ?

What is your video card because my is not enough strong for these kind of emulators …

Hi dear.
I’m using few N64 games. You know 007 needs more HW powerful in order to playing full speed whitout glitches and graphics fail texture.
I’m on Dell Optiplex 760 2gb ram and Video Intel ( built in ).
I’m playing Psx games whitout any problem.
Maybe some 3d games like crash bandicoot is a little bit slower than others games but everything is playable.

So , about monitor as far as I know , there isn’t a switch or circuit breaker built in to avoid high frequency.
We need a special pcd like yours or one that I mentioned in others post , jammasd.
