Multiple Issues Intel Nuc i5 7260u

Hello,

First time using Batocera wanted to give it a try due to how easy it is and how it’s like Retropie but with no hassle for a nuc.

Turns out ive got issues…

1) HDMI plugged into Nuc -> Tv -> optical cable to soundbar.
No sound coming out of the TV for Batocera. Ive tried all the sound settings still nothing.

2) Wifi - It seems to only pick up 1 or two wifi points for some reason all not mine. I manually added but still nothing Im assuming this is a driver issue ?

What is the difference between the Nuc image and 64bit image ? ive tried both with the same problems.

No… what is the name of your network and which networks do you see?

Try to launch kodi and try the sound options from there. This sometimes helps

cheers the sound problem is now resolved :).

Wifi is still the issue it continually finds ssids but never my home network. The router is in the room next to the nuc so I have no idea what the issue is

What’s the name of your wifi? Does the name contain blanks or special characters?
Try to rename your wifi ssid to a very simple one (only letters/numbers and no blanks/spaces/special characeters)

joinski Ah it does have spaces it’s Big G WIFI (5Ghz) and the same but with 2.4

Can I hardcode the wifi ? it’s not something I can change have around 100 devices using it (the wonders of smart homes)

@gazum123 I’ve fixed the Wifi-Search with special charcters and blanks last week so if you are using Batocera 5.25 the fix is not included then. But you an manually type in your SSID or directly add the credentials to batocera.conf

batocera.conf can be found in /userdata/system/
Press F1 and you are in the file manager from there you edit the file with your credentials - renaming your SSID is not a fix!

The key entries are

wifi.key=Big G WIFI (5Ghz)
wifi.ssid=your wifi key

If you have a LAN connection you can look in SHARE directory via SAMBA to edit the config file from there

Ive been palying around with Batocera it’s pretty good to be fair. I have another question now… I can’t seem to work out how to scale the ps1 res. People say Hotkey and B but nothing happened I did hotkey + F1 and this brought up the Retoarch settings when in game but nothing about internal res. Any ideas ?

You have to change Emulator/Core to MEDNAFEN (BeetlePSX) in Game Settings, Per System Advanced Configuration and then you can find under Options of RetroArch Quick Menu the setting for internal resolution.
