I’ve read about people losing their paired controller after a reboot, but the problem I experience is similar although it starts when pairing the controller.
Via settings I choose the connect a controller option and bluetooth starts searching for the controller. I see that it gets ‘paired’ or connected somehow as the controller-icon appears in the top left corner. However I do not get a successful connection message from the bluetooth ‘searcher’. Instead of displaying the found controller it stops searching.
I can configure the controller and map the buttons, by pressing A it does recognize the controller.
So somehow it is semi-connected I guess, but upon reboot of course there is no reconnection and all has to be done every time again.
Anyone else experienced that when the bluetooth does not confirm successful pairing, yet the controller icon shows up and controller can be used?
I used a nintendo switch pro controller and have x86_64 apple version installed (tired both iMac 2008 and MacBook Air 2011 model). I do have a rpi4 as well and there the switch pro controller is recognized and automatically connects upon reboot.
So I’m wondering if the problem might be related to apple bluetooth or the software?
Any ideas?
