I followed this method.
Install citra on my pc, configure it and take that file with the configurations, then replace it with the one that comes in batocera and that’s it, you already have it in French or in my case in Spanish.

Although it is true, I forgot, for some versions, by pressing f1, you can access the browser, there in applications you will see (citra) the gui, there you can configure the language and other options, without having to complicate yourself by modifying files.
