Hello nadenislamarre ;)
I installed a batocera-linux 5.25 distribution on a PC64bits connected to a “Arcades Electronic” arcade terminal by a J-PAC usb encoder (VGA to Jamma socket). The display is CRT 15KHz.
(PCx64bits) Dell optiplex 755
ATI Radeon X600 256MB (radiator).
intel® Core™2 duo cpu E4700 @2.6GHz
To have 15KHz : I modified the xinitrc with these new lines :
xrandr –newmode “640×480-15khz” 12.625000 648 672 736 808 480 534 539 625 -HSync -VSync interlace
xrandr –addmode DVI-0 “640×480-15khz”
xrandr –output DVI-0 –mode “640×480-15khz”
I have a rather particular problem: With this configuration almost all emulators work correctly except Dreamcast, N64 and WII emulators where the image runs in slow motion (especially with games like 007 golden eye under Dreamcast for example).
When I change video card with ATI Radeon HD2400 256MB (with fan) (flash 15KHz or not); well the Dreamcast, N64 seems to work well but all other emulators are running at 25FPS with a completely chopped sound … Mame’s roms become unplayable. Same for NeoGeo and many other emulators …
It’s the same story with another ATI card : the Radeon HD7470 256MB (with fan) (flash 15KHz or not).
And same for a ATI HD6450 (radiator)
Remenber : under LCD screen all emulators works pretty good except for the lower card ATI Radeon X600 256MB (radiator) where only N64 and Dreamcast doesn’t work (too slow).
I recently use another computer : optiplex 790 Intel I7-2600 3.4GHz 8cores 8Go : same story with all new cards (in 15KHz only Dreamcast and N64 works and not for the rest of emulators), but all are good with a LCD screen …
for the first card (ATI Radeon X600 256MB) : this computer work well in 15KHz with all emulators except for N64/Dreamcast, and it is the same for this card under an LCD screen …
Thank you and I hope you will be able to guide me towards a solution.
