Video snap audio still broken in 5.26

I am on the x86_64 flavor of Batocera (version 5.26), and the audio for video snaps is still not working, although the changelog says that this has been addressed.

I can hear other UI audio just fine (theme music, navigation sounds). I do have ‘enable video audio’ and also have ‘lower music when playing video’ selected. When I select a game that has video (with known working audio), the music volume lowers and I hear nothing from the video. I have even turned off ‘fromtend music’.

I know that there is not a problem with the videos, as the audio from them plays fine when using the videos in the built-in screensaver.

Yes, there is an issue on x86_64 with sound of video snaps.
On RPi3 it is working.

yes. we released knowing this bug.
this is not for everybody. we should include a fix in 5.27, but while there is a risk on this fix, we prefer to let time to tests.

nadenislamarre Hello how are you? so … I would like to report that in this version 5.26 the audio of some cores (, atari 2600 and Sega32X) that were the ones I identified so far, are in trouble. some Roms are completely silent or noisy. if you can fix it in the next version we appreciate it. the old cores did not have this problem. thanks for the great job. (I’m using raspberry PI3, but old versions of batocera these problems didn’t exist)

Disabling UI music helped me.
