genext2fs: couldn't allocate a block (no free space)

hi all,

my build end up with this error :
rootdir=/home/jessie/2ndsrc/batocera.linux/output/target
table='/home/jessie/2ndsrc/batocera.linux/output/build/_device_table.txt'
genext2fs: couldn't allocate a block (no free space)

i still have large free space on my hard drive
iam using batocera-odroidxu4-dev_defconfig for build config

can you give more history.
i guess that it's in the generated image file that you've not enough space.
it can be adjusted with make config, but it's strange to get that one.

its error when create image , when calling fs fakeroot.sh.

its work when using batocera-odroidxu4_defconfig for build config

can you try:
make menuconfig
=> filesystem image
=> exact block in size
put this value from 61440 (30 mB i imagine) to 1300000 (334M😎 to see if that helps ?
