dreamcast plays extremely fast

frrom one of the other day all my dreamcast games plays extremely fast.... its unplayable

i testet new bios files, but the same problem

can anyone help me please ?

i use x86 5.7

it is related to the 5.7 upgrade ?
dreamcast fps is managed thanks to the sound.
if you have any sound issue, dreamcast fps becomes unstalble (and too fast if your computer is too fast).
this is my current issues on the xu4 and 5.7.

In all other Systems is the sound perfect!
Only dc Runs like Warp Speed without sound

On 5.6 it works great Without any issue

as far as i remember, i've upgraded the dreamcast to solve different issues in 5.7. it possibly broke things. It can be my problem on the xu4. i'm very busy outside of batocera theses days, but i will confirm that on the xu4 , make the 5.7 out for the xu4 and see what i can do for this issue.

@pillemats i'm doing tests tonight on the xu4.
rollbacking to the previous version of the emulator fixes the issue.
so, for the xu4 5.7, i'm going to do that.
for the 5.8, i'll search in the sources which commit made the problem and i'll ask you for tests while i don't have the issue on x86

@pillemats be patient. it's in my next tasks.
the urgence was to solve the xbox 360 pad problem for kodi ;-)
however, for the dreamcast, i know ho to search.

boot.tar.xz, see in the wiki how to upgrade manually from a boot.tar.xz file.

which filesize is the file ? so i know when i can download

arg, disconnect, reupload in progress, 63 minutes, 460MB. optical fiber next week.
since 5.7, you can upgrade from any remote file in one command :

/recalbox/scripts/recalbox-upgrade.sh https://batocera-linux.xorhub.com/upgrades/x86_64/beta/last/special2

via ssh should do the job.

but now it shows every time an update an time setting on startup.

i will try another bios file for time settings

edit: in game i have sometimes no sounds and sometimes its will scratch and stops for few seconds

solution for time and date:

set up time and date in dc menu and go back to main menu and start game again. then it saved the time and date and will Not ask again
