WIFI still not working on OGA 1.1 (black edition) on 5.26

I got the ODROID Go Advance Black Edition (1.1) , and I initially I installed 5.25, which did not have support for the internal WIFI. Fortunately I had a USB WIFI which worked fine, so a couple days ago I updated to 5.26 expecting the internal WIFI to work but it still doesn’t, from the discussions I have seen that it should work with 5.26 (I have removed the USB WIFI), do I have to reset the settings or enable a module? If so how? Thank you.

Since you can connect with your dongle attached can you try connecting to the ‘\\batocera\share\system’ and rename the batocera.conf to something like batocera.conf.old and shut down and remove the dongle and then power back on.

This will force the file to be recreated with all of the default settings.

I swapped my upgraded 5.2.5 -> 5.26 SD card from my OGA 1.0 with a dongle to the OGA 1.1 and the built in wifi just worked.

pceslayer I have deleted the system folder and replaced it with clean one from 5.26, but still had the same issue. Not sure if deleting the Batocera.conf would have solved the issue ,but as @jpearn said probably not.

Do we possibly have bad wifi cards, I find that hard to believe but I said it. I can’t get wifi working no matter what I try

barnito I ran up an sd of Emulelec 3.6 and wifi is working fine

I also don’t have a bad wifi I tested it with other distros (including EmuElec) and it worked fine, in the end I had to save my roms, delete everything , and create it again from a clean image (in the process Batocera managed to corrupt one of my microsdcards while it was resizing the share partition), it took me a while but at least it works now (internal wifi is recognised). Not sure why upgrading (from 5.25 to 5.26) didn’t work, I even tried to copy the boot partition and system files from a clean 5.26 (that I knew had wifi working) but still the system was not finding the wifi, I also deleted the 1.0 firmware forcing the 1.1 firmware (removed the if case from the config) but still had the same issue (in this occasion I could use the L2 and R2 but not the wifi). The only solution was to create everything from scratch.

The issue might have been due to having another usb WIFI connected, on the 1.1 while updating. But its weird changing all the relative system folders did not solve the issue for me.

Same here ! Just upgrade to 5.26 from 5.25 with a dongle usb. Integrated Wifi doesn’t work :(

I have the same problem with the internal wifi not working using the batocera-5.27.2-odroidgoa-20201001 image. Has anyone found a work around for this?

So I just found out this seems to only be a problem when wpa2 is enabled. If I allow wpa/wpa2 then the ordroid will connect as expected. Also this does not seem to be a problem isolated to batocera. I was having the same problem with the stock firmware and few others.
