Missing PSX BIOS files

Hello,

I’ve downloaded all available BIOS files. But it keeps claiming about missing PSX BIOS files.

I’ve also checked the md5 sums (I’ve replaced SCPH1001.bin with DTL-H1001.bin as mentioned here):

I’ve also tried renaming them all to lower case without success.
The share network is working correctly as I can see and play all the ROMs (sharenetwork is set to SHARE@…).

BZZ Yes. ROMs, Themes, everything is working. Except it seems he can’t find the BIOS files. I can play the PSX games though. Just a notification at the bottom left “No PlayStation BIOS file found - add for better compatibility” pops up.

Oh, how stupid of me. Just checked https://wiki.batocera.org/what_are_bios_and_how_to_add_them and the bios files need to be directly in the /userdata/bios directory, not /userdata/bios/psx.

Now the menu says no more missing BIOS files. But the notification still pops up when launching a game.

Hey all. I know this thread is super old and your issue may be unrelated, but I was having the same issues and I found a fix. Google “batocera BIOS pack” and on Reddit, someone went through the trouble of compiling everything needed. Wipe the old BIOS files you dropped in the share and place all these in. Be sure to remove and replace, not overwrite, as I still has some issues with overwrite. Once I replaced all of them, the test came up with none missing and the PSX emulators were not giving me any missing BIOS messages.
