support for gpimate

hello,

as i am looking for a unified experience across all my retrogaming devices (mac mini, rpi4, rpi 0w/gpi case) i am going to try batocera over the next days.

i am only missing the support for the gpimate (rpi cm3 cartridge for gpi case) wich i will hopefully receive during summer.

i found a discussion in the forum where a user experienced issues with the rpi3 image on a cm3 connected to gpi case, but there was no hint how it how it has been installed. so my question is if you have plans on adding support for the gpimate directly in the rpi3 image (including gpi controller and safe shutdown).

currently it seems as if there are only some dedicated retropie based images available that support the gpimate out of the box.

hi, I’m also interesting in this implementation to run BATOCERA on the GPIMATE CM3+lite
or by a workaround with the actual version
I tried to boot bato 5.26 on gpimate and i have a black screen even after applied the retroflat HDMI patch
(on a 128go sd card)

Hello, I haved found a solution, don’t apply retroflag patch.
Just put manually dpi24.dtbo and pwm-audio-pi-zero in overlay/
And on config.txt diable all HDMI option and add :

The retroflag patch in not appropriate to Batocera CM3 image for GPi Mate, you’ll need to do all manually.
I haven’t made many test just 1 hour of utilization, but seem stable for the moment
