threaded video on , saving config makes retroarch emulator crash

I just installed Batocera on my old x64 desktop (2.8 ghz *2), it runs, but not as fast as it should. so i turned on video threading, and then everything runs smooth. however, when i want to save this config, by overrides, core/content/game overrides, it crashes back to emulation station/batocera. i dont know what is going wrong here. so now i need to do this manually everytime i run something from the gameslist. does anyone know a way around this /or solution, or is this a common bug ?

i found a way around this to get extra speed instead of having threaded video turned on, by lowering the resolution of certain consoles (psx/n64 etc) to 640×480 from within the emulationstation menu per console. i must say on my pi3b it (threaded video) is by default turned on without any problems. but it would be nice to have this feature on my desktop too. it is a lenovo thinkcentre from somewhere around 2005/2007 with 2.8 ghz * 2 core and gpu integrated (128mb) , i know its a ultra low spec machine but it performs pretty well still now, especially with emulation. (i guess maybe, it is due to the machine)
