Rom in Bootable usb

Hi all, I was making a present to my friend who loves retrogames until i got stuck.

I don't know how to make, and if it's possible to make, a bootable usb drive that already contains the folder with the roms, so, as soon that you install batocera on pc, you can immediately play without the need to use a second usb.

Can you help me ?

when you plug a batocera usb key and boot, nothing is installed on your pc. all remains on the usb key.

1) plug the usb key on your computer, add games
2) plug the usb key on any (working) computer, and it will works.

you can plug your batocera key on any computer, no need to get one key by computer you want to test.
that's one part of the linux magic.

So if i understand correctly, i only need to find a way to add games directly in the usb while batocera is working on my pc ( at the moment i'm using a usb with batocera and a second usb for storing games because i'm having problem passing games trough the net)
If i install ubuntu or another linux distribution on my pc , can i put the roms from the second usb inside the usb with batocera, without actually start batocera ?
Do you have an easier solution ?

you even don't need to install an ubuntu.
you must start the batocera at least one time so that it's finish to initialize the usb key.
once booted, press f1, you'll get an explorer where you can plug an other key containing roms or have access to the disk on the computer to copy roms directly on the batocera usb key.

man i copy ron form another usb, the games aperas on the game list but don't running, and the pre intalled games too
