Nothing running after 5.8 upgrade

Hi all I'm on Rpi3, was all ok with 5.7, now nothing running, starting any game will return to emulation station menu. Same issue with kodi. Return to menu after showing batocera logo. I'm using an external USB for roms save etc, so I don't touch anything about the data/config files.. on 5.7 ALL running like a charm.. could anyone help please? I hope nothing compromise.. is it possible to have a link for 5.7 version? Thanks all @nadenislamarre
Edit: I notice I've lost scrape from snes and master system only.. the other are ok

hum, my 5.8 works nicely on the rpi3.
moreorver, 5.8 is just 5.7 with a file modified for kodi, so, i guess it's something else.

I don't know @nadenislamarre, it was perfect before 5.8.. I use it all the days I'm sure about it.. the strange thing is that I'm on external USB.. nothing should be changed about config/roms/data.. but I've lost scrape too (snes and msystem).. maybe a fresh install will solve.. Kodi doesn't work now, same issue: launch, batocera logo, return to emulation station menu.

Ok solved thanks to @nadenislamarre !! Just connect my USB stick to my win 10 pc and safe remove it (without badly unplug). Reconnect to my Rpi, turn on and now it works!! Thank you all
