video problems

i have a problem with the vga video, when i conect the pc to the tv using vga what it happens is:
first the batocera logo appears but in a corner of the screen, then the audio is heard so the platform has already started, but the video does not appear on television.
the pc in question is an ibm r52 modificated, with 2 gb of ram and the last microprocessor that this model can carry, the gpu is a 32 mb ati mobility radeon x300, solutions or tips?.

pd: this is my first time working with this plataform,the screen of the pc is broken that’s why i’m doing this work, i follow all the steps and i have batocera on a usb.

In the end I managed to solve it, the problem is that this operating system does not have automatic video settings, so I installed it on the PC but the illuminator on the screen broke, therefore it has an image but it is all dark. That was what saved me since I had to configure the video with the laptop screen and then when I closed the lid of the laptop it just started there, that the truth was that I was a little disappointed, it should be able to automatically detect the screens connected just like joistick detects fast, but…. Well… It Is working now.
If anyone has this problem, know this, without the laptop screen there is no way to configure the video to be output by vga(at least for now), and if they succeed, close the laptop lid because it also does not send video via vga.
