Batocera does not start

I am having difficulties to install the batocera on my pc, the last version does not boot it just appears the black screen written 'batocera.linux' is thus a 5sec and then the screen loses the signal, I downloaded version 5.2, worked but very slow, Catching too much!
The configuration of my pc is
I5 4460
16gb RAM
GTX970

I also tested on the pc what will be the arcade:
Sempron le-1200
512mb RAM

(If the English is bad it's because of the Google translator)

How did you write the image to the hard drive , or are you running the image off the usb stick ?

Eu tive esse problema também. Identifiquei que (no meu caso) eu teria que pressionar qualquer tecla do teclado quando a tela ficasse preta...e assim fiz, então ele funcionou normalmente. Caso não pressione nenhuma tela, ele irá ficar nessa tela eternamente.
Espero ter ajudado.

Verifique também se está habilitada na BIOS a opção de virtualização de processamento, ajuda a encerrar essa lentidão.

Estou tendo o mesmo problema, tentei em 2 PCs diferentes e o resultado é o mesmo, após a mensagem "batocera.linux", nada acontece e o monitor desliga. Tentei com as dicas do williamjcardoso e não tive sorte.

I'm having the same issue as you, tried with 2 different machines and the result is the same, after the "batocera.linux" post message and screen goes black/turn off and nothing happens, also tried with williamjcardoso but without success, tried pressing any key during and after the post message.

Digging more deep in the forum i found someone else that also didn't had video signal after the boot, is there hardware compatibility list somewhere?

Batocera uses free nouveau linux driver with supports up to kelper nvidia gpus, and the 750ti maxwell gen1, so your gtx970 wont work properly, nor fast if it eventually was worked around... disable that gpu for now and use that 4gen corei5 built-in igpu.

there is a new test version with official nvidia driver but not working yet.

Tem que remover a placa de video eu creio, funcionou num pc velho que tem aqui, mas era lento demais

FerbCracudo é uma placa mãe com video onboard intel, não faço ideia por que não iria funcionar.

Um raspberry Pi 3 é interessante para se emular games, melhor que um PC velho ...e voc~e pode ligar direto na sua TV por HDMI .... recomendo !

Good Morning! I recently purchased the Biostar A10n-8800e Motherboard, with the following specifications:

• AMD FX-8800P Processor
• 8G DIMM of DDR4 2133MHz(OC)
• Supports AMD Radeon™ R7 Graphics

When using Batocera 5.21 X64 the screen will be locked as if there was a video error. The screen is locked and all colored. I would like some help in trying to solve this problem.

Quando tendo usar o batocera 5.21 X64 a tela fica travada como se houvesse erro de vídeo. A tela fica travada e toda colorida.
Gostaria de uma ajuda para tentar resolver esse problema.

carlosventura While you said it 'supports AMD Radeon' does it have Radeon R7 inside or something else? Are you using USB or HDD/SSD ? Have you tried to re-install and what version ?

Good Morning! I am using usb pendrive. And the version I used was version 5.21 and 5.22.

Eu também estou com o mesmo problema mais isso não tem nada a ver com o hardware de video seja onboard ou não logo se você desabilitar a controladora SATA da placa mãe ele passa tranquilamente porém vocÊ não tem acesso a nenhum disco de armazenamento do computador. Alguém tem alguma ideia de como podemos resolver neste caso!
