I have this old desktop which i thought would be perfect for my nephew to emulate snes and master system type games and maybe some newer systems with some tweaking.
Batocera struggled with the onboard hdmi although it works better after installing to hdd (does it download different drivers?)
HDMI audio has never worked at-all regardless of bios or batocera settings. just dead air.
So currently set up with hdmi picture and on-board sound only.. bit weird but workable.
SNES and master system work but the audio is choppy.
N64 works with stutters and audio is constantly choppy.
PSX pretty unplayable
PS2 jokes
So is it worth sticking a low profile gt710 or similar into this phenon x 4 4gb system? My main aim would be resolving the issues with the on board graphics and sound but wouldnt mind an improvement in performance.
Cheers
