At the moment there are already several emulators that work with Nintendo DS on the Raspberry pi 4. However, with the batocera system it is not yet possible. When are you scheduled to play? The Nintendo DS is pretty basic, you don’t understand why it is still out. And by the way, Nintendo 3DS, are there any predictions?

Which Nintendo DS emulator(s) for RPi4 are you talking about?
For 3DS i guess the RPi4 is not powerful enough. We have 3DS for x86_64 (Libretro Citra and standalone Citra)

biGdada There is still some configuration work to be done for rpcs3 as well as some other tweaks to their codebase to automate installation of firmware. Honestly, unless your system is incredibly beefy you won’t have a good experience with it at this time.

ordovice it is beefy enough;) i’m able to run rpcs3, cemu and yuzu under windows, and stream the game using moonlight to my batocera. when rpcs3 and cemu support will be ready in batocera(i dont care about yuzu that much), i’ll just repurpose this pc to be the main batocera machine.

Hello. I’ve try yesterday the beta on Pi3 b+, only one issue for me : Wii U pro controller is not reconized anymore. I try to use “lost BT controller” in the controllers panel, but the controller still invisible. I have rollback to 5.26 and controller is OK. I’ve try some news options (download some bezel etc), seems to be ok. Oh yes, I can’t use “update core” in retroarch menu : issue “cannot create core list!”, but I have the same issue in 5.26 and 5.27 beta so I don’t think it will help you.

i can confirm this.
tested the pi3b+ image today and could not pair Wii U pro controller and other bluetooth controllers (PS4, 8bitdo Zero) also.
downgraded to 5.26 and all controllers paired without issues.

The system is an AMD Ryzen 2400G with integrated AMD Vega11 Graphics.
Emulationstation menu looks like Vsync is off. As well SNES and Megadrive judder and Vsync style artefacts are on screen.
Dolphin is totally unplayable with both renderer-types Vulkan and OpenGL and sound is very slow.

With beta 5.27 20200811 Dolphin runs wonderful with Vulkan.

It seems that something is broken for AMD GPU users after 20200811 release.

nadenislamarre bigdoug79 it seems that my supportfile was helpful? The beta 20200820 from today works on my Ryzen 2400G without judder or Vsync style artefacts and Dolphin runs wonderful with Vulkan renderer. Thank you.

Is it possible to use Vulkan with Retroarch too? I can’t find an option to enable it in other emulators than Dolphin.

Although the menu driver was changed in Retroarch, the Batocera system will force the menu driver to be changed to ozone after running the game.Although can specify the menu driver as xmb in batocera.conf, but can only use the default icon theme.I think there is a configuration file in batocer that specifies the default configuration of Retroarch and is read in preference to Retro.cfg. But i didn’t find it.

@ezar looks like you have a bad video driver parameter in your conf. remove (or rename) /userdata/system/configs/retroarch folder

I tested beta 1 on RPI4 and PC, updated right from menu
-RPI4 : I lost sound two updates ago, it came back with this release !!!
-PC64 : I always had numberous audio issues, this time it kept my nividia + hdmi port but … it worked only about 25% of reboot, no reasons, no setting change, kodi sill working fine… I guess we can tell it’s even stranger than before !
-Cannonball : it worked fine, I find it strange that NF is mentioning “bios” files where there is no bios file
-Downloader: it’s the best idea ever, it worked fine except quake gave an error on pc… well who cares I got all quakes

Hello ! Fresh install on X86_64. I have a bug when going to retroarch settings. I had for a second a message saying that some file was impossible to save. Moreover the icons are not displayed correctly (see image). This happened only on first launch from the application menu accessible via F1. @nadenislamarre I’m still here for the bugs in beta 😉 Also performance on GameCube is a little worse In terms of sound stuttering than on previous version in my system (Intel 10600k + Nvidia 750ti). Finally Vulkan engine is said to be non available in Informations menu: is it normal on my system?

Also I have much lag on N64, whatever the core. N64 was perfect on 5.26 on my 10600k + nvidia 750Ti

@ezar are you sure your rom/bios are ok ?

updating n2 and x86_64 dolphin version to see if the random freeze disappear. please report about it.
