Hello ! Fresh install on X86_64. I have a bug when going to retroarch settings. I had for a second a message saying that some file was impossible to save. Moreover the icons are not displayed correctly (see image). This happened only on first launch from the application menu accessible via F1. @nadenislamarre I’m still here for the bugs in beta 😉 Also performance on GameCube is a little worse In terms of sound stuttering than on previous version in my system (Intel 10600k + Nvidia 750ti). Finally Vulkan engine is said to be non available in Informations menu: is it normal on my system?

When we choose the shaders, after they are applied they work, but when we restart the device everything goes back to the starting point. the applied settings are not saved, the tests were made on the raspberry pi3. Thank you

Not Working

Standalone Mupen64plus doesn’t work (only N64 libretro core worked. It’s a bit glitchy and the sound is unstable)
Dreamcast games don’t play (at least chd images)
8Bitdo SN30 Pro works fine but one controller at the time (I even tried to pair them in different pairing modes)

This is so far the most stable release for the Tinkerboard. I appreciate how much effort you put on this, thank you!.

@nadenislamarre Hi! I tried the build with 440 nvidia drivers and there is still the huge lags in N64 so not coming from the nvidia drivers. I also checked again and N64 is perfectly fluid on 5.26. For recall I have an Intel 10600k + MSI Z490 gaming plus + nvidia 750Ti. If someone here wants to test with similar configuration that would be cool. The issue is that, whatever the core, the N64 emulation is choppy and stuttering, with very much lag. Thanks!!

for xu4, i will rebuild a new one probably tonight, i should be a bit more powerfull on some emulators. (feedback welcome)

It looks like apple 2 emulation doesn’t seem right on x86_64 as well.. most games that worked on 5.26 seem to show either garbled screens or just go to basic prompt rather than loading straight up..

@nadenislamarre did you still want a support from me re: stuttering emulation station & super slow SNES emulation or will what @Cemi70 provided be ok…?

nadenislamarre bigdoug79 it seems that my supportfile was helpful? The beta 20200820 from today works on my Ryzen 2400G without judder or Vsync style artefacts and Dolphin runs wonderful with Vulkan renderer. Thank you.

Is it possible to use Vulkan with Retroarch too? I can’t find an option to enable it in other emulators than Dolphin.

The lags on N64 only happen with new install. If you upgrade from 5.26 to 5.27, it is fine. Also not related to nvidia driver since it happens with integrated graphic.

@nadenislamarre in fact, the only game that doesn’t work on xu4 is outrun 2006, but it works on x86-64. I dont know why. It seems that reicast (frameskip), ps1 (frameskip), n64 (bad sound) is lagging a bit. i will retry with a new build. on x86-64, ps2, dolphin is working well with mobile nvidia 1050, no more lags. i were not able to reproduce dolphin freeze at exit with the new n2 build (and i guess it is the same on x86_64)

a global issue was found about gpu on x86_64 (i965 was force while it should be only on some case. it is an option in batocera-boot.conf that people will have to enable like nvidia in case needed). fixed.
a global issue for n64 was found too (audio_sync seem to be on by default now). fixed.

i will rerun a x86_64 build tonight. you’ll tell me tomorrow.

Updated to beta1 and it removed my splash screen, can’t seem to get it back using any technique I have used in the past. What is the current method of adding new splash screens? Running on pi 3b+.
