RK2020 Batocera 5.26 - L1 & R1 problem with default button brightness and volume

Good morning all
First of all, congratulations on the job done !

I have in my possession an RK2020 console on which I installed Batecora 5.26 because I find it much better than Emuelec!

Everything works fine, however I have a problem with the L1 and R1 buttons on my console, indeed L1 increases the sound and R1 increases the brightness.

I can’t seem to remove these functions from these buttons and it gives me trouble in games and in use.

When I was on emuelec, I knew how to switch to Retroarch but I don’t see how to change that on Batocera?
Has anyone come across this problem before? Can you help me please ?

The fix for me is to update to the newest beta and in the system settings, turn off “multimedia keys”. Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply, indeed it works.

Unfortunately i had to go back to Emuelec because every other time when i transfer data to the SD card (with two different cards, same problems) Batocera resets itself and it is impossible to save settings in batocera again or to see new rom.

The only solution is to reinstall batocera, which annoyed me … too bad 😞!

Kaliric You can maybe try it one more time :-) looks like now it is ok. I can copy and use batocera on RK2020 very well..

The only issue I have is similar with first post here. Stock settings (multimedia keys on) L1 only put volume up, but there is no volume down?? After turning multimedia keys of I have no way to control sound levels, then go to menu - sounds -> adjust it there. That is very annoying. Is there any solution somewhere? I am noob in this handheld consoles and linux also.

Hmm, I also had an issue where the share partition is corrupted, and as soon as you restarted, all the changes you made reverted back, and it was infuriating to figure out. I don’t know Linux and ssh commands well enough to know how to fix or scan a disk, so I just reloaded the image again . So far, no problems.

joinski you can use any linux OS (ubuntu live usb, raspberry pi with raspbian, etc.), or aplication like Linux File Systems for Windows. After plug-in your sd card into computer, you open application and you will mount sd card with new letter - it works flawlessly in windows.
