MAME PlayChoice games don't work with LIBRETRO / MAME0139 core

All Play Choice games I tested (for example SuperMario Bros.) quit with error:

[ERROR] [MIDI]: snd_seq_open failed with error -2.
[ERROR] [MIDI]: Initialization failed (list of input devices unavailable).

Looks that we have a common libretro bug in MAME0139. It can be a result of wrong config.
When trying to launch SuperMario Bros. I get error:

At first : check your romset with ClrMamePro and check the roms you’re talking about have the “working” status in your MAME .dat file. Because many romsets you can download over the Web are improper/damaged/incomplete for MAME 0.139 core.

Then you’ll be able to report a bug to the LibRetro developer’s team. Batocera’s forum is probably not the best place to open a bug tracker about LibRetro libraries.

Otherwise you can play Nintendo’s Play Choice games with the newest MAME 0.220 core.
It works properly well for my part.

I think SuperMario Bros. is one of few games that produce error above. It’s a common Libretro bug from that what I found on internet:
