Hello Nicolas.

I have been trying to run Batocera PCx64Bits with a 15Khz screen for 4-5 months. So far with the versions 5.22 to 5.26 I managed to do it but with the version 5.27 whether it’s batocera-5.27-x86_64-20200719.img, batocera-5.27-x86_64-20200824.img.gz or batocera-5.27-x86_64-20200830.img.gz ; it doesn’t work anymore. an idea ?:

Hi, thanks for that great work, I realy love batocera :-)
After seeing the Trello report I have something to say about linapple emulator.
I am using the x64 architecture. In v5.26 linapple was working good (even if I noticed a strange bug like: have to unplug/replug the keyboard after batocera started to make the numbers keys working in linapple. ) but games was playable however but only if you plug an ANALOG joypad ! Since v5.27 I noticed that linapple games are not working no more. There is only a black screen with some numbers on the bottom keyboard input possibility) It seems like the rom is not loaded but only the emulator core. When rollbacking to v5.26 games are working again. Thanks for listening to me and have a nice day !

This external sound card doesn´t work and doesnt appear in audio output in emulastation menu (only jack, hdmi, auto): c-media electronics inc. usb pnp sound device.
In Kodi can salect it and works perfect. Un saludo y gracias

Tested some pcsx2 and found a couple issues, if I set the internal resolution and anisotropic from the pcsx2-config it always defaults to native and off. Is it required to now set it individually for each game via advanced game settings?

Also F9 to change the renderer causes it freeze quite often, start+select and esc on the keyboard does nothing but CTRL+ALT+F3 and back with CTRL+ALT+F2 continues the game. I have a AMD cpu + gpu, might be related to that.

There is still some performance issue when loading from ES menu vs config and controllers don’t remember to invert if started from ES. This was already in 5.26 so not a regression bug.

Still hoping for the config for ShanWan twin controllers to be added, if difficult maybe the “hack” could be put up on the wiki? :)

You can set internal resolution under Game Settings, Per System Advanced Configuration, PS2
No need to open pcsx2-config for that.
And it will change that for every game (don’t know, if it is possible to set different internal resolution for each game).

@Ukasbatocera arg. i know why. i cannot update it for 5.27 while we’re near it. but come to me on discord once 5.27 is released and i’ll make a 5.27 specially for you and you’ll tell me if that works, and i’ll integrate for next times.

Thank you very much for all the development. I was testing at PI 4, and overall performance looks better. However, there are some Nintendo 64 games that continue to perform very poorly, such as Yoshi or Mario64, or Smash. I do not know to what extent there may be changes, but here the observation is recorded. Thank you so much again.

Os áudios dos vídeos voltaram na 5.27dev? O meu notebook AMD E1 1500 8gb ram Opengl 3.3 tá sem audio. E outros sistemas também travando. Desde a 5.25..core yabasanshiro não funciona add o yabuse core..

on Odroid N2+, the restart function doesn’t work and make a shutdown.
I’ve another problem with an 8bitdo gamepad : the little gamepad is visible on screen, but the 8bitdo doesn’t work until pressing start.

As mentioned in beta thread, x86_64 no audio in video snaps. It was working in 5.25, broken since 5.26

Toujours sur Odroid N2+, le périphérique de stockage est bien mentionné, mais pour autant il n’est régulièrement pas chargé (en l’occurence il s’agit d’un ssd crucial branché en usb3). Il faut modifier le périphérique de stockage, éteindre et rallumer, puis réindiquer le bon périphérique, éteindre et rallumer à nouveau.

De plus lorsque l’on supprime des roms directement depuis l’interface, au bout de quelques manips l’odroid se coupe.

Testing around with the last RC1 clean installed. All minor Systems 8, 16, 32 bit working perfectly. Psp too.
The first issue I ran into was the Gamecube. For me it doesn’t start any game with the Vulcan Backend. I became a Message from the Dolphin Emulator which says that Vulcan is not supported.

Every 4th or 5th time I am leaving a Game, the System crashes to a black Screen.

It looks maybe like its happening just at Dolphin. I am setting my wii game controlls and just try if its working…and leaving every Game after a few minutes and when i leave it crashes.

Same display defect (screen flickering) as in beta 1 for Pi4 by activating overscan and changing the resolution to 1080 in the Batocera.conf file.

@MurMur for such advanced key combination, i don’t want to fix in this rc, while it is not the normal way to use batocera, it is more advanced combination, and i won’t take time to analyze all these combination now while it is not a regression (was present in 5.26)

@shupinou it can happen if the disk takes a too long time to be powered up.

@Lewi vulkan requires that your hardware supports it.

@jejehtc yes, overscan should not be activated.

@ZFEbHVUE looks a very particular case. once 5.27 is release, we can try to help you, but it is not really my domain, and i see that a lot of people already tried to help you without success. by chat i prefer. while there are too many posts to read.

@shupinou for the start, i don’t know. for the shutdown, i noticed, i will see if i can do something.

@limpatudodireitinho mario64 very poorly on rpi 4 on 5.27 ? i get 100% performances.

for the hdd pb : the same disk, on Batocera 5.26 on my Pi3b+, works perfectly. Maybe the N2+ has USB3 pbs, like Pi4…

Many Thx for the response. Yes many people tried to help me, but I found a solution (testing 5.22 to 5.26) and I gave it here and on other forums for “15KHz CRT Batocera” few months ago.

The only thing is with the 5.27 beta version of Batocera, it doesn’t work anymore and I don’t know why.

My solution is to put this into .xinitrc for last versions of Batocera until 5.26 :

#change the resolution and the Hz
#xrandr -s 640×480 -r 30
#####################
###NTSC 15KHz 60Hz ###
xrandr –newmode “NTSC 640×480 (60Hz)” 12.336 640 662 720 784 480 488 494 525 -HSync -VSync interlace

After there are some options to adjust into Retroarch.
