Using HD storage with Windows Installed?

I’m using a flash drive to run Batocera and I’d like to put my roms in a bigger HD.
But this HD is the same which is installed Windows for other proposes and I’d like to know if is possible to make it as my roms repository.
I’ve tried to change the storage in Batocera menu, but the share folder still remain in the flash drive.

If is not possible, may I use an extra HD/SSD to storage my roms? Does it need to be formated in a specific way?

What happens, if you set the HD, where Windows is installed on under Batocera System Settings, Storage Device and then reboot and after reboot into batocera, reboot again but boot from the HD where windows is installed on?
Usually you should then have a share-folder on this HD, where you can place all your roms (into the rom folders inside the share folder).

I’ve got eventually. For some reason the share folder was not being created in the HD. But I’ve change some settings inside Windows and the share folder showed up.
