5.27 has ruined my display resolution at ES

Hi. I upgraded from 5.26 to 5.27 and after reboot my display (screen 16:10 1920×1200) shows a very poor resolution (something like 480p or even lower). Doing a new installation using a different drive has the same problem. Something has gone wrong with this version.

I’m not a developer or an advanced user in linux and its terminal stuff. I usually avoid to write command lines because I never know what I’m really doing and how to revert changes. Nothing that I looked for has worked (not found so much, also). If anyone has the same problem and knows how to fix this is welcome. If not… I’ll pray deeply for 5.28 will come with no sad surprises.

How do you know your previous display resolution? How do you know what the current is? What is your full spec(inc screen) ?

BZZ I know my previous display because I have this screen since years ago. I know the current res because there are a big difference between texts and graphics before and after upgrading. And I’m visual designer. I’m using a P6T deluxe based pc with Intel Core i7 920 2.67ghz, Nvidia GTX950. The screen is Benq G2400WD. With this hardware I’ve built an arcade cabinet.

I tried to do something further what batocera UI allows. Went into /etc/init.d/S31emulationstation and edit a line as https://wiki.batocera.org/display_issues tells at point 3. But, really, this is not my element and I don’t have intention to improve my habilities at this. I want Batocera working well, only notifying an error (5.26 fits perfect at my display, 5.27 doesn’t) and looking for a simple solution. Not writing code or making scripts and changes at batocera guts. If there are no option to configure res I prefer to wait for it fixed or back to batocera 5.26.

Why I are so reluctant to write code and all that stuff? because I’m working hard on a theme and that is far, far enough for me XDDD. The same reason why I didn’t want to create levels in mario maker. It’s better not opening some doors. There could be no going back.

Well. I was testing more and the fail is related with DVI connection. HDMI works OK. Something has gone wrong with DVI at this version.

joinski hey, my configuration, intel core I5 video card AMD 6850. the 5.27 works on my 2nd tv in 1080P on the other hand on my 4K TV I have a black screen, no signal just after the batocera logo. I am using the x64 version. Do you want more information ? With the release 5.26, no problem

otherwise i know, that it is being worked on this issue (some TVs are making trouble, especially some 4k TVs).
so just be patient and wait for the next version, where this issue will hopefully be fixed.
