Batocera and RTX cards.

I saw something on ETA’s you tube channel that Batocera does not work with the RTX cards. Ive seen other videos that show Batocera working with GTX cards. If I get a RTX card will I have issues or shall I just get a GTX card instead and save myself some money and trouble.

I have an Geforce Rtx 2060 with 6Gb, not the Super Version an it works fine with enabled Nvidia Drivers.

So its basically plug and play or do i need to enable something? Is there a link on how to do that?

joinski is there a step by step video or instructions to do this? I know how to add games and everything but not sure how to change “script” if thats what you call it.

it is way easier, than you think it is ;)
after you have flashed the batocera image with etcher on a usb thumb drive, then you have to plug this usb drive back again to your pc, open the batocera-boot.conf file (with notepad for example) and remove the “#” in front of the line “#nvidia-drivers=true”. then save the file and that’s it.

joinski Thank you for that information and I will have to try it. Does it work the same if the image and game roms are already on a 500gb SSD ?

yes, just connect this 500gb SSD to another PC with for example windows on it and edit the batocera-boot.conf file as described
