Moi je suis revenu a la 5.26 sur PC x64 trouvé sur clubic..pas le choix j’avais pas d’image sur ma 4K, trop de bug la 5.27 en ce qui me concerne. La team est au courant, merci a eux et bon courage.

I have the same problem, had to go back to 5.26 which has glitchy sound on the splash screens. Is this going to be fixed?

which version exactly did you try? the 5.27 or 5.27.2 from here:
https://batocera.org/upgrades/rpi3/beta/last/

and what do you mean by glitchy sound?

It was the 5.27 stable, and by glitchy I meant that the sound was very low for the first 90% then loud for the last 8% then the background sound for the system kicked in before the splash screen ended and the theme kicked in..

Same here, no sound on fresh install, only at boot screen… please fix asap 😢

Was this ever fixed or are the team working on it, updated last night to 5.27.2 and am now without sound like previous posters.
Have most gone back down to 5.26 ?, just gonna see if I can d/l that one.

le probleme est toujours la meme en 5.29 beta
pas de son sous pi3b+

i guess the issues-list is not public and that’s why you get the error 404.

5.27, 5.27.2 and 29-dev 2020/11/04 no sound on raspberry pi 3B+ jack. Only sound at boot screen (splash). 5.26 no problem.

I have the same problem.
RPI 3B+. No sound throught jack since 5.27.
No problem with 5.26.
Same problem with 2 differents RPI3B+

Still not resolved with version 29 (stable)

@joinski do you know if the problem is acknowleged ?
do we have at least a workaround ?

Hello. I had the same problem on my RPi3B+, with version 29. When selecting the only “Jack” available option for sound output, it did not work.
For me it is fixed now since I upgrade to beta version (30), as the sound menu has been modified.

audio_pwm_mode=0 in boot/config.txt should help with Jack audio.

Has this been fixed yet? I have 5.29 installed in my pi 3b and jack selected. Tried making suggested changes to confit.txt without success.

i have sound during boot but not once loaded (from the jack)

Paolopj4 I upgraded to the beta version and now the sound is good. Thanks a lot for the advice

Paolopj4 I tried updating, but I get an error that no space is available (using 64GB SD). I even loaded this same config on a 128GB SD, but got the same error. I believe this is because pi 3b has limitations on SD card size, but otherwise I dont know why it works for you and not myself. Any ideas? or any idea how much space I would need to erase from the current SD card in order for it to fit even on the 64GB card..?
