Batocera 5.27 restart problem

Hi. I´m using Batocera 5.27 on the Odroid N2+ and I´m having a problem… when I select restart from the menu it just turns off and nothing more… it doesnt reboot and I can´t use any external usb.

same here, i have to switch it off and back on to reactivate after i do a reboot

Yes, and that is a big problem because I chose external storage and without restart then the folders on the external storage are not created.

Hi Springjack , yes i noticed that as well, it is still the same in the latest nightly 0922 ( i just tried )
i hope the good people here will get this fixed soon

Let´s hope so. With this release I have problems with the N2+ and with the Nespi 4 case fpr the RP4… I´m screwed wit both boards.

try this:

when you selected restart, unplug your USB controller or its bluetooth key, normally it should have worked, I had this problem and I fixed it like that. tell me.

Same issue here, without reboot the n2 doesnt build the files on the SD card. Is this addressed in any of the nightly builds?

This is not a Botacera bug. The OdroidN2+ seems to have this problem.
Mine did this from the start. I can’t reboot with any system I’ve tried yet.
Armbian, ArchLinux, DietPi, Ubuntu.
I always have to pull the plug or at least reinsert the SD card.

Hopefully some firmware/kernel update will fix that soon in the future.

Had this problem with the latest “Stable” version 5.27.2, so I decided to update to the latest beta version through the menus and no longer have the problem with restarting the system after making changes.

Current Setup:
Odroid N2+ 4GB
64GB SD card for installation media
64GB EMMC for Rom storage
Housed in an Arcade Fightstick from MicroCenter
Batocera v29 12/03/2020 21:23

Update: Problem is still present, it happen after I tried to shutdown my system, then powered it back on, then went to see if I can still restart and the problem came back.

Update #2 After another power down, it seems to be working fine again. I hope this issues can get fixed, I love my N2+
