PCSX2 performance issue in emulationstaion

Hi so basically what im saying is that if i launch a game “Scaler” from within emulation station it does not run very well and fps drops from 60 to 40/45 in certain parts but if i come out of the game and back to home emulationstation screen and press f1 then start pcsx2 and launch the same game from there it plays fine. plus if i set preset 3 and apply and the exit back to emulationstation and then go back to pcsx2 via f1 the settings are not saved?

What is your CPU and GPU? I had also the issue of significantly better performance from F1 menu compared to ES menu. This was with a AMD CPU and GPU. Changed the GPU to a second-hand Nvidia GPU and the problem was fixed 🤷‍♂️.

In 5.27 the internal resolution and anisotropic filtering (and a couple others) are set in ES menu with Edit game and thus overwrites pcsx2-confg at start from ES menu. The other settings can be edited from the F1 menu and should save, speedhack level included.

Hi yes mine is a AMD 3400G so onboard vega GPU its not an option to add an Nvidia GPU.

Unfortunately I found no good solution for the problem :(.

You could try the custom settings for each game and see if you would find what is causing it.
