Screen flickering with 5.27.2

I have just upgraded from 5.26 to 5.27.2 and now the screen is flickering (horizontally up and down for 1 or 2 pixels ) in the main menu and also in the games I run.
The resolution the TV shows is 1080i 60Hz
When I start Kodi the flickering disappears and everythings is ok. But when I switch back or reboot to Batocera it is there again.

It‘s like the picture is displayed 30 times a second (30 Hz) 1 or 2 pixel different from the other 30 times (Hz) it is displayed (=60 Hz). But since it worked before I think there could be a setting to achieve a stable picture.

Any ideas?

Hello, I don’t know if it’s the same issue but I noticed on Batocera 5.27.2 there is an offset of 1px or 2px vertical line from the right side of the screen to the left side and it’s the same in kodi. (sorry for my bad english)

PsykokiN Thank you for that note. But it was a different problem. But maybe you can check if you can change the setting on your TV / Monitor to adjust the picture in the right position. Maybe this can be changed with the video settings of Batocera, too. The is a good wiki available where a lot of settings are described.

I found the reason: I had connected the PI4 to a 4K TV before and Kodi was not showing a picture there(Batoera worked fine). I played around with some video settings in the batocera.conf file and forgot to remove them. On the other TV which is only supporting full HD these settings generated these effects. I removed them and voila everything was displayed accurate. By the way: Kodi works, too.

Legu hey! I’m having the exact same issue with screen flickering on a 4k screen. Any ideas of fixing it? It stops when i enter kodi too. I haven’t played around with any settings

in kodi interface i have vertical line in the left corner …
