Hi, in most of the games the movement controls does not work in Dreamcast games, both with Reicast and Flycast (the cross and the analogic). Works in the menus but not into the game. How can I solve that? Thank you!

joinski I have some generic pc controls. They worked with Dreamcast games up to version 5.26 (or at least most of them) When updating to 5.27 they no longer worked and now I’m with the latest beta and neither. They do not work in any Sonic Adventure, Sword of the Berserk or Rayman 2 - The Great Escape, Jet Grind Radi, Daytona USA. But works on: Virtua Striker 2, Shimue 2, and Dino Crisis.

what kind of generic pc controls is it? do you have a link/picture of it?
and what architecture do you use? RPi, PC, Odroid?

and it is a bit strange, that in some games the controls work and in other games it does not work.
could you test the pal version of crazy taxi? at the beginning of the game you have to choose between 50 and 60Hz. this selection screen can only be controlled with Dpad and not analog stick (if your controller has both).

and by the way… did you reconfigure your controller in ES? (under Controller Settings, Configure A Controller)

joinski I configure the controls in the menu, if that’s what you mean, it works fine in the other emulators except dreamcast and ps2 (but this one I don’t use much)

I’m using this type of control https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-871716117-joystick-ps3-ps2-pc-3-en-1-qlaj-crf-inalambrico-_JM I have a batocera running on a mac mini and installed directly on the hard drive. I can switch in any of the games from 50hz to 60hz and even move within the menus, but when the games start I can’t move. To give you an example, I can accelerate at Daytona, but not go in directions.
The last thing, sorry but I don’t know where that configuration is, could you please tell me?

this controller seems to have different modes.
try with another mode (look up the manual, i guess it has x-input and d-input mode, or pc mode, android mode, ps3 mode etc..) just activate another mode of the controller, reconfigure the buttons in the menu (Controller Settings) and try again.

if there are still issues… well, then i would suggest to buy other controllers with better quality (original Sony PS3 controller, or Microsoft Xbox controller or 8bitdo controller). they cost more, but they have better quality and will work without issues.

joinski Hi, I have followed your advice, and bought a ps3 joystick, it works perfect with dreamcast, thanks! Only one question, it only works with cable, I can’t pair the bluetooth, any ideas how to solve it?

joinski I Use a mini mac only the internal bluetooth I didn’t have a dongle. Sometimes is recognized it and it appears inside “unlink the bletooth devices” but it doesn’t work anyway.

exequielc Compré un clon, el dual shock 3. Como dije arriba, funciona en Dreamcast, pero con cable. No funciona en psp. Dicho sea de paso, ese que vos tenes y que también tengo yo, el de 3 en 1, te funciona en psp? a mi solo en algunos juegos.
