Hello,
I am using a Raspberry Pi 4b (4 GB RAM) with the last stable Batocera Version “batocera-5.27.2-rpi4-20201003.img.gz”.
I read all the threads about roms from NAS etc. and tried every possible variation but I just don’t get it. Can somebody give me a step by step guide please? In recalbox it worked like a charm, but I want to use Batocera, because recalbox has to many bugs in the fresh version that now finally supports raspberry 4, too.
I tried every version in this guide - no succes. Batocera everytime shows the local contens from the micro SD card.
What do I have to change in the batocera-boot.conf
file?
sharedevice=NETWORK
sharenetwork_smb1=ROMS@192.168.66.21:public/Batocera/roms:username=XXXXX,password=XXXXXXXXX,vers=2.0
sharenetwork_smb2=SAVES@192.168.66.21:public/Batocera/saves:username=XXXXX,password=XXXXXXXXX,vers=2.0
sharenetwork_smb3=BIOS@192.168.66.21:public/Batocera/bios:username=XXXXX,password=XXXXXXXXX,vers=2.0
The lines above work in recalbox. But why they don’t work with batocera? I also tried the other version from the guide like “nfs” or “cmd” commands - nothing helps.
The structure on may Synology DS112 NAS is:
IP: 192.168.66.21
Dirs:
public/Batocera/roms
public/Batocera/saves
public/Batocera/bios
Do I have to put the volume1
(label of the HDD inside) part into the commands? Not in the SMB command I think, as it works with Recalbox.
I’m getting more and more desperated with this. Could you please help me? If there are any questions I will answer them to get this working. I am not very practised with linux. Thanks in advance!
