Dreamcast folder and adding roms

Hi
Is Batocera (dreamcast) not so fund of adding .zip files to the gamelist ?
.cdi files get easily added, but zip file with the same rom name wont get added.
Only one file in each zip.

the _info file states: ROM files extensions accepted: “.cdi .gdi .chd .zip .7z”
example:
Cave Story (World).cdi 8.468.981 24-12-1996 20:32 -a–
Cave Story (World).zip 2.324.543 08-11-2020 14:54 -a–

try to enter with winSCP to usr/share/emulationstation/Es_systems.txt and find Dreamcast, add the .zip in with the another formats in the text (sorry for my english)

I still need to check if it works, but I found the file and edited it.

just a small correction, the file is named es_systems.cfg and not .txt extension

It was missing the .zip part , which I added:

So I got the zip files to show in gamelist, but when running, it drops to Flycast emu, and then I get an:
"Error
unknown game" popup.
It seems like the .zip are not corrupted as i can open them and extract the .cdi

EDIT: I did not save the .cfg file there for changes did not appear. Zip files now gets added. So below is irrelevant:

Can anyone confirm, when you have edited usr/share/emulationstation/Es_systems.cfg if a restart is needed,
for changes to take effect ?

I did a “update gamelist”, but .zip roms do not show up yet

ATM I’m scraping from external pc with Skraper, so I cannot restart before later

If I create a folder Dreamcast ROMs can be found by the device and can the same thing be done to the Gamecube emulator?

Flycast doesn’t support zip files. You need to extract each game to their own folders or use CHDs. From the wiki:
