joinski nadenislamarre Tested x86_64 on one of my machines (AMD Ryzen 5 3400G with AMD Radeon Vega 11 Graphics - iGPU) N64: On first run without any setting change (Emulator/Core = Auto) game runs slow and with audio stuttering (does not appear anymore, after you change Emulator/Core to another one, then run a game and after that, you set Emulator/Core back to Auto. So not a big issue but a bit strange (that this issue only happens once on the first time you start a N64 game with Emulator/Core Auto)) N64: MUPEN64PLUS / GLIDEN64 still crashes Wine: display issue (after starting a Wine game, for example Super Mario War, my TV/Monitor says: “Mode not supported” and there is no picture). This only happens on one of my systems with AMD Ryzen 5 and its integrated AMD Graphics (Vega 11). On my other machines with several Intel HD Graphics or with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, Wine is working without issues.
joinski nadenislamarre The “black screen” issue on F1 (File Manager) and after exiting PS2 games, that i already mentioned in RC1 here: https://forum.batocera.org/d/4938-batocera-29-rc1/18 is still persisting in this rc2 and i found out, that it only affects certain Intel iGPUs… here my findings: Intel HD Graphics (Ivy Bridge GT1) -> no issues Intel HD Graphics 5000 -> no issues Intel HD Graphics 530, Intel UHD Graphics 630 and Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 -> black screen (only mouse cursor visible) when pressing F1 (File Manager) after playing a PS2 game (God of War))
beastieboy Hi everyone. For me MAME 0.139 from Batocera x86 64bit either hangs or quits to gamelist after about an hour. The disk activity increase when it crashes.
chrisg I turned on Widescreen hacks from Per System Advanced Configuration for Nintendo Gamecube. It worked, but I didn’t like the pop-in of some textures/polygons, so turned it off. But the widescreen hack is still active? Can’t disable after enable?
chrisg chrisg A workaround for this is disabling Widescreen Hack directly in Dolphin-emu-config via F1. This issue is easy to replicate, it is just Emulation Station not unchecking Widescreen Hack when disabled.
joinski ChumiCade nadenislamarre i have just tested this RC2 on my RPi3 and the issue still persists :( when you set Jack as Audio Output Device, the sound still comes out of HDMI and not jack (except the sound of the boot/splash video at the beginning). i think last version, where audio from Jack output was working was 5.26. @nadenislamarre can this be fixed for 29?
Jean-Marc @nadenislamarre hello, I sent you an email about system freeze while using libretro / mame. I’ve joined a rom causing de freeze of the system in the case you may reproduce it if possible. Thanks
Lewi I am trying around with the Rc2 and my Sound Problem in Cemu and I solved it. I ve got to go directly to cemu Generell Settings/Audio. The Api stands on Direct Sound which is Correct but i had to switch the TV Device from Primary Sound Driver to the hdmi Port that I am using. In my Case Hdmi1. After that, I am going back to Emulation Station and the Scratchy unclean Sound is gone in Cemu. The only Issue is that after a Reboot the Settings are not saved. Then I´ve tried the batocera-save-overlay command, but after a reboot the Settings are back to Primary Sound Driver. Sorry for my bad English.
mikehsarmiento You solved the problem with Arcade collections. Great! Now I have to test if the issue with display resolution through DVI connection since version 5.27 is still there. EDIT: The problem persists. If I connect my graphic card to screen through DVI the resolution is still ruined (x64 system).
ZFEbHVUE mikehsarmiento What king of card you have ? Can you come on discord because I have probably a idea/test to do with your card and I can explain that on dicord : the idea is to put two screens : one on DVI and another One HDMI and in .xinitrc close (one HDMI) on select DVI and see what’s happen … Since 5.27, I resolved this problem on my CRT(DVI-I) likes that. Stéphane
nadenislamarre the bugs that are reported on this port seems very specific. i will not be able to reproduce them. for crashing emulators, we can bump after 29 releasing to see if that fixes. it is a bit late for 29 while it seems specific.
Lizard Is there guidance somewhere on how to set up a WINE program for Batocera? Does it have to be set up on another PC? Assistance is greatly appreciated.
LordLifthill Follow the Link to the Wiki for more information about setting up Windows Games. https://wiki.batocera.org/emulators:windows32_windows64
nadenislamarre @joinski i manage to fix. but i won’t take the risk to do the modification for 29 while it may cause issues on rpi boards. let’s apply my change for 30
mikehsarmiento ZFEbHVUE I have one PC with 950 GTX and two more with a 1060. This problem didn’t exist at 5.26 or previous versions. Never used discord, I’m only waiting for they fixing the problem, and I’m notifying. If they doesn’t… well, I use HDMI. I’m not interested in have to modify or explore system files every single time I do a new installation. Thanks for your offering to help ;)
nadenislamarre rc3 pushed. some fixes for ppsspp+ some pads, an option for some tv4K+rpi, reenable a wifi R8188EU on some boards, update es, update translations, a fix for wine and dxvk,
