Cannot boot from SD memory card

Hello,

First of all I would like to say that after testing some multi-emulator solutions Batocera.linux is my favorite one.
I am using an Intel NUC with an Atom processor but it seems too slow for some advanced games. Now I would like to boot Batocera.linux from SD memory card on Intel NUC BOXNUC8i5BEH. I’ve got 32GB Kingston SD card. Used balena Etcher and flashed the card. Then I tried to boot from it but I only got the text “Booting Batocera.linux…” and then a black screen that stays forever. When I put that same card into a USB reader I can boot successfully from it. So I guess the problem could be some missing driver for the card reader. After some checking I found out that the card reader is one from Realtek and also found some Linux driver here [https://github.com/chrisnew/rts_pstor]. So if there really is missing a card reader driver how can I integrate it and boot from the SD card?

I own an Intel NUC8i3BEH and have the same issue. I just used an usb drive to install Batocera but all my roms are on my sd card (from SanDisk). It just does not read my sd card, the sd card itself is fine.

Did you (or someone else) found a solution for that?

I hate to bump old threads, but I feel I am having the same issue here. I have a realtek ad card reader in my laptop that is not being recognized. Are there any plans to have this driver included?
