I faced the same problem.I
No Audio in EmulationStation, I got audio on Kodi.
I tried to change everything from the EmulationStation settings but I cannot get audio on the menu or in the emulators… Also when I try to use the CTRL-ALT-F4 shortcut, Press F6, can find my audio hardware.
through SSH, get the list of audio outputs with the command aplay -l. In my setup, I get:
aplay -l
