Disable and/or replace video at startup?

Batocera comes with a new startup video every new relase, but there is away to disable it at startup and even replace it with a static imagine that keeps displaying for a few seconds?

it is not possible but what if the file

/userdata/system/batocera.conf

is modified by adding the following line:

splash.screen.length=0

the video should be skipped at least, someone might confirm?

But changes will be lost when another update will be performed, since the video file will be overwritten..

The video is annoying, i want a fast startup and dont see the point of it being forced.

You can use Davinci Resolve (free) and easily make a video out of static image. Just stick the jpg or whatever in the timeline and drag it to the length of time desired then render it to an mp4, mov or whatever
